Virginia Tech welcomes tens of thousands of visitors each year to its campus and before this system was put in place, the office did not know how many people to expect, and every visitor had to fill out their information on a small card and return it to us in order for them to be tracked and contacted later on. This information, which was often illegible, was manually entered by work-studies into our contact management system.
This system, allows us to keep track of visitors for all information sessions, campus tours and special events like Open House. In combination with the Visitor Management System, welcoming visitors to campus has become a much more streamlined process.
